The COVID-19 Vaccination Post installed at Multiusos de Guimarães completed 80 days of operation last Sunday and 61.303 people from Guimarães have already been vaccinated, 40.836 with the first dose and 20.467 with the second, according to information validated by ACES – Grouping of Health Centers of the High Ave.
The pace of vaccination has intensified a lot in recent weeks, with several days registering averages above 2.000 inoculations, which results from the fact of having entered the age groups (over 43 years old) with more population.
The Vaccination Center at Multiusos has been in operation since the 23rd of February, with 3 days in operation that month, 16 days in March, 24 days in April and 30 in May, already operating for several weeks daily, between 08:00 am and at 20:00.
It is an operation that has never been tested before, with an enormous degree of difficulty and that daily involves almost five dozen health professionals, in addition to members of the Municipal Police, Red Cross, City Council, Tempo Livre and Vitrus.
The collaboration of users is essential for the success of this operation, so the health authorities call on users to be very attentive to the vaccination schedules and to strictly comply with the days and times of the respective appointments.
ACES do Alto Ave appeals to all users to scrupulously comply with the current health safety rules - maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters, wear a mask and hand hygiene - emphasizing the importance of this operation for public health and for the community.
