About ENSE

“The European Network of Sport Education (ENSE) is an international non-profit organization and has been active in the field of sport education in Europe since 1989.

ENSE works to create learning opportunities, skills, competences, and qualifications in all settings for people or organizations leading, developing and supporting sport activities. ENSE aims to achieve this by working on pan-European projects, creating innovative educational materials, connecting organizations working in the field of sport education, and advocating for effective policies on the European level.”

ENSE 2022 Forum

The Forum will offer a space for reflection and discussion about the current societal and educational challenges facing Europe and the role of sport, and in particular programs and policies for the education of sport professionals, to address challenges such as climate change, social segregation, and the Covid-19 pandemic.

One main part of the Forum are the parallel sessions, in which presenters give a 15 minute presentation on their chosen topic. Experienced academics, practitioners and students alike are invited to submit their abstracts.

Those interested in presenting at the Forum can submit their abstracts by June 15th. Full requirements can be found in this document or simply upload your paper here.

Further updates on the ENSE Forum will be shared on www.sporteducation.eu.

Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal

Ancient city whose history is closely linked to national history and identity. Distinguished by its unique heritage and exemplarily restored, the Historic Center was recognized by UNESCO, in 2001, as a World Heritage Site.
The appreciation of culture and sporting events fostered the creation of a network of cultural and sporting equipment, which placed Guimarães in a prominent place on arts and shows, at national and international level, culminating in 2012 as European Capital of Culture in 2012 and 2013, as the European City of Sport. All these attributes make Guimarães an attractive city to visit.
