Active Kids

The Active Miúdos Project began in 2021 and is in the full consolidation phase.  

This project aims to provide physical activity classes, held in participating kindergartens, the organization of awareness-raising actions aimed at educational agents, and the promotion of experimentation actions in the various sports modalities.

This project, which has the support of nine institutions in the municipality of Guimarães, and involves a universe of 600 children, aged between 3 and 5 years old, arose following the increasingly pressing need felt by the institutions of teaching, of providing children with moments that enhance and stimulate psychomotor development.

Mindful of this need, the Tempo Livre, through Sports Services, designed this project, which in addition to taking a team of qualified professionals to educational institutions, seeks to raise awareness in the community of the importance that regular physical activity plays in the integral development of children.
